"I live life on my own terms" : Rock Stars Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif will be seen as a rock star in her forthcoming film Mere Brother Ki Dulhann. In her last film, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Katrina was seen riding a bike. The metamorphosis of the actress, better known as the Barbie doll of Bollywood.

"I live life on my own terms. And I work on my own terms. I have always done the best I could. I am not disappointed with the glamor quotient of my earlier films," says Katrina Kaif.

However, she rather loves the new 'bindaas' image. "I am too young to not enjoy these films. This is the fun side of film making. As an actress, I don't see any harm in it," reveals the actress.

But being cool too has its limits. Talking about her rock star avatar in shorts, the actress says, "Well, they aren't mini shorts. So what's wrong? And you know what, whenever I'll wear shorts, I'll ensure that I won't wear a tight tee." And unlike most rock stars, the actress who is seen smoking in the upcoming YRF film, swears never to smoke or drink on screen again. "That's not even the last thing I'll do.

I have a responsibility towards the society. I shall never cross the line of decency, I know, this far and no further," says Kat.

Katrina however, terms her sudden change in image as growth. And giving all credit to her directors and designers Rocky S and Aki Narula, the actress agrees to the fact that people do notice her more now. "And I am thankful for that," says the actress. She also agrees that her commercial viability has increased. "Being accepted in ad films, give me a big high," she confides.

Needless to say, the change in Kat's image has helped people perceive her as more than just a pretty porcelain doll. According to ad filmmaker Prahlad Kakkar, "Katrina is not being recognized as an actress. Not by anybody. Not in their wildest imaginations. She has been recognized as a star.

She is an object of great desire. She is not only male fantasy, but also teenagers' fantasy. And yes, in the ad world, her position has bettered. Nobody speaks badly about her. Lucky girl, nobody saw her first film with Mr Bachchan.

Kat wants to marry Ranbir

Katrina denies it but sources allege her insistence on a ring is the reason behind her spat with Ranbir

Some say that it's his alleged coziness to his Rockstar co-star Nargis that is causing issues between Kat and him.

But a rather reliable source also tells us that things are getting sour between Kat and him because the 27-year-old is not willing to marry Katrina who allegedly is insisting on having a rock on her finger.

A source tells us, "It was only incidental that Ranbir's fondness for Nargis increased recently. However, what has really distanced him from Katrina is her demand that they get married, by March 2012, if not December 2011. She clearly told him that they should tie the knot in a year's time."

Katrina on her end claims these rumours are tommyrot. "These rumours are embarrassing, ugly, a million miles from the truth, beyond fiction.

The so-called people close to me who are saying these things actually have no proximity to me Ranbir is a friend, but there is nothing beyond. So there is no question of my breaking up with him or asking for marriage."

Well, wedding bells were chiming in Kat's head some time ago, when in an interview she told Mumbai Mirror, on 25 Jan 2010 to be specific, that she wanted to get hitched in 2012.

However, the Rajneeti actor, who has been dating Kat for nearly two years, ever since they worked together on Rajkumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaani, seems to be taken aback by her demands.

The source explains Ranbir's bewilderment, saying, "Well, he didn't know what to do. He explained to Katrina that marrying her in a year's time wouldn't be possible since he is too young. Ranbir doesn't want to pin himself down in life."

Think of it, Katrina was more demanding than Deepika in her relationship with Ranbir. While Deepika asked for commitment, Katrina asked for shaadi, claims our source.

Reconciliation between the two lovers is not ruled out, says our source. "It would be more apt to say that they have had a big fight at the moment, rather than to say that they have ended their relationship.

Katrina would love to get back with Ranbir, who also likes her very much. But he is certainly not thinking in terms of marriage with her at this point of time."

It may be recalled that Mumbai Mirror (November 3, 2009) was the first to tell you the real reason why Ranbir split with Deepika; Ranbir was not discreet about his less-than-innocent encounters with other women then. Maybe he knows himself too well to commit to something as serious as marriage...

“No more questions about Katrina”: Salman Khan

After being literally pestered by the media about his relationship with Katrina Kaif (or may be ex-lover Katrina Kaif), Bollywood actor Salman Khan has now decided not to entertain any further questions about Katrina.

Salman is currently on a promotion spree of his coming film Dabangg in Gurgaon (in Delhi’s outskirts) during the launch of IIFA Buzz Cafe, Salman refrained from answering any questions that were not related to the film.

"Just ask me about my work, No personal questions please. I have just come from a long studio interview. I will only talk about the film and nothing else,” Salman made it categorically clear.

Earlier this week Katrina Kaif also made a hasty exit from a press conference held at the Taj Lands End in Bandra, as she was literally goaded by the media over her current relationship status.

My goodness!!! For God sake give the two some space and time to at least breath.

Is Katrina marrying Ranbir?

Now the question of Ranbir marrying Katrina comes in to play, when suddenly two people who have worked together and are also speculated to have been dating secretly are busy talking marriage and settling down plans. Katrina, who is still mum over her relationship with Salman, surprisingly is heard of talking about her marriage plans with media. Recently, while talking to one of the newspapers she said that she would get married at the age of 28.

And here Ranbir, although is planning a house, is talking in terms of settling down and starting a family soon. In two years time his new bungalow will be ready and Katz will also turn 28.

Is Ranbir planning to marry someone?

Well it seems so; our very own Ranbir is planning to settle down. As reported, he was quoted saying, “I want to start a family at some point. So we’re only making a bigger house for ourselves.”

He also added that he is still trying to create a firm hold on the film Industry and as soon as he gets someone special, he would settle down.

On the other hand Rishi Kapoor’s Pali Hill Bungalow has gone for a renovation. It’s becoming more spacious.

So is the extra space for the new Bahurani, only time will tell us. So who will be Ranbir’s special someone as Ranbir has lots of choice!

Contrary to the rumours of a possible marital knot, gossip has it that Ranbir Kapoor is not planning about settling down with Deepika Padukone in near future. Then who will be ?????
