Dearness Allowance of Central Government employees

The central Government employees are expecting a Good Dearness Allowance rise from 1st January 2011.

It is expected that at least 6% increase in DA will be there from Jan 2011.


  • Present DA Rate 45%.
  • Expected increase: 6%.

  • Expected DA rate from Jan 2011: 51%.


Central Cabinet Committee likely to release of additional installment of 6% Dearness Allowance to Central Government Employees and Dearness Relief to Central Government Pensioners due from 01-01-2011.The Present Dearness Allowance Rate is 45% and it will change into 51%. Once the DA rate touches 50%, the allowances like Children Education Allowance, Child Care Allowance, Washing Allowance, Cycle Allowance, Cash Handling Allowance, Conveyance Allowance, Split Duty Allowance and some advances such as Festival allowances and Flood Advance etc will be increased 25% more.
